Idea #12

The theme of this art is nature. I came up with this theme by seeing what the art had all around and all the main parts of the exhibit. My idea was to show how people would like to live their lives anywhere in the world. I took pictures of the main parts of the work my cousins had made and put them below. I started off with the parts that I thought were more important and then went down by less important.

The idea they were trying to show is a rich life in the forest. Once you arrive to their land, you the first thing you see is the stairway to the giant tree. They made a house inside the biggest tree because they wanted to see the rest of the forest from highest point. Once you are inside the house, you can see the panda enclosure and the hangout spot.

I chose my cousins’ work because they want to live a rich life away from the city and all the fancy and expensive life style. They wanted to be more to themselves seeing the beauty in nature. Not many people in life will have the same view as them because everyone thinks being rich means you have tons of money in a huge house in the city with all expensive brands and vehicles. My cousins on the other hand explain that they wanted to have the view and when people visit, their breaths would be taken away and they would see what a different life style they though of.

Gio was in charge of the main attraction when everyone enters, which is the giant tree house. He added the long stair way up to the tree to make it look more rich and added bamboos on sides so it could feel more like they are in nature. He wanted to make it more into a forest, so he added more trees, but did not add to many so you can see everything.

Brandon created a part on the side of the area to go underground for mining and an area for people to go and hangout. You can see the placing to mining for some treasure is the hole in the gray area on the bottom right. He did not want to make it to obvious so he added the “hangout spot” to distract other players and sort of throw them off the area to go mine so they would not go and try to steal their treasure.

JD’s part was to make a room for the pandas. He has the the bamboo for the animals to eat and the water is their for them to play in. He also stated that the room for the pandas is pretty big and each one has its own bed. Also he said that the pandas are not trapped in the room, they can get out anytime that they want to go roam around the area.

This is how all of their work looks together from a sky view. It took them a day to make all of this because they have a lot of experience playing minecraft and they already planned it out before they started making it. As it is all together, you can see their house as a nature theme.
